Sorry for the delay! Now Voyager! (I hope there's an erotic smoking scene?) I suspect that the best thing to do is update the story, putting in a reason why Jack doesn't 'requite'...I'm thinking an ex, scared of getting fingers burnt. Or somthing similar- divorce, break-up, tradgedy etc. (perhaps?)... I really must watch NV again, it must be a couple of years since I saw it. And Mr wanda1969 would be overjoyed. Rather oddly, he thinks that Bette Davies is one of the most beautiful women he's ever seen. Attractive, yes, but he is adamant that she's irresistible!
